The Liability of Businesses in the Event of a COVID-19 Outbreak
George Psarakis LL.M. (mult.), PgCert
An injunction was issued by the Athens Court of First Instance ordering the suspension of the enforceability of a payment order of approximately EUR 500,000. It was alleged that the payment order was invalid due to the Bank's abuse in exercising its right, which, while negotiating with the borrower and awaiting a proposal from the borrower, at the same time applied for a payment order. Three months ago, in the same case, a similar injunction had been issued in which abuse was suspected and the suspension of the execution of seizures in the hands of credit institutions was ordered.
